To run MovingPicture, MovingParts, or MovingChart, you will need one of the following files,
depending on the editor you use. Take a moment to check the FAQ's (frequently asked questions).Please read the license agreement on the bottom of this page.

Windows Files are in self-extracting format to speed up the downloading process. Simply double click on the .exe file and it will ask what folder you what to put them in. Close your editor, if it is open. Put the files on the desktop, and them drag them to the proper place (listed below) required by your editor.
The Moving.chm, or MovingParts.hlp or Chart.hlp file should be copied into c:\ folder (the root) for all Windows-based editors.
- After Effects looks in the Plug-ins\Standard\Effects folder for plug-ins.
- Avid editors look in the AVX_Plug-Ins folder for plug-ins.
- Premiere Pro v1.5 looks in the Plug-Ins/Common folder for plug-ins.
- Ulead editors look in the ..\vft_plug folder for plug-ins
- MovingPicture Producer can be placed in any folder.
- MovingParts Producer can be placed in any folder.
- MovingChart can be placed in any folder.

- MovingPicture does not extract the picture to move from the NLE's timeline, as most limit the resolution that is passed onto any plug in to the final output video resolution, which is too small for zooming into without breaking up. Use the Load Picture menu option in the MovingPicture interface to load your image.
- When rendered, a red bar will appear in the middle of the image. This will disappear when the product is registered.
Using MovingPicture in Avid
- Drag a clip to the timeline. This should be video clip or a video-size still. Placing the hi-res still will slow rendering and may cause other problems.
- Make the clip's length the time you want the move to occur in.
- Open up the "Effects Palette" from Avid's "Tools" menu.
- Drag the MovingPicture effect over the clip.
- Click on the setup effect button under the source/master screens.
- The "Effect Editor" palette will open and MovingPicture icon will appear in the top line.
- Click (or double click) on the MovingPicture icon on the left side.
- The MovingPicture user interface will come up on one of the screens.
- Load a picture using the "Load Picture" option in the "Files" menu.
- Move the yellow camera until the starting position is reached.
- Click on the timeline to set the time for the position you want to go to next.
- Move the yellow camera until the next position is reached.
- Play the move using the controls on the Viewer.
- Click on the round "OK" button.
- Render the effect.

Streamlining the Avid Off/Online WorkFlowUsing MovingPicture in Premiere and other NLE's

- Pull up the Video Filter list, and add the 'MovingPicture' filter to the clip.
- Load an image to animate using the 'Load Picture' menu option.
- Position the starting key frame by dragging the yellow box around.
- Click on the timeline to set when you want the next KeyFrame to occur.
- Position the key frame by dragging the yellow box around.
- Add as many KeyFrames as you would like.
- Preview the move by setting the timeline to the start are clicking on the Viewer's play button (or hit '0', 'P, or Space)
- Exit the plug-in via the Windows close box or the OK button.
- Preview your move.
This License Agreement governs your use of the enclosed Software product. By installing and/or using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, do not download the software.
LICENSE: This License Agreement allows you to use one copy of the enclosed Software on a single computer. If you install the Software on a network server, you must purchase a separate copy of the Software for each computer that will be used to operate the Software.
COPYRIGHT: The Software is owned by StageTools LLC and is protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore you must treat the Software like any other copyrighted material except that you may either (a) make one copy of the original Software disks solely for backup or archival purposes, or b) transfer the Software to a single hard disk, provided you keep the original solely for backup or archival purposes.
OTHER RESTRICTIONS: This License must be retained by you. You may not rent or lease the Software. You may transfer your rights under this License on a permanent basis only if you transfer this License, the Software, and all accompanying printed materials, retain no copies, and the recipient agrees to the terms of this License. You may not reverse engineer, de-compile, or disassemble the Software.
LIMITED WARRANTY: StageTools LLC warrants that the Software will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying printed materials for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt. Any implied warranties on the Software are limited to thirty (30) days. Some states/jurisdictions do not allow limitations on duration of an implied warranty, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
CUSTOMER REMEDIES: StageTools LLC's entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be, at StageTools LLC's option, either (a) return of the price you paid or (b) repair and replacement of the Software that does not meet StageTools LLC's Limited Warranty and that is returned to StageTools LLC with a copy of your receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the Software has resulted from accident, abuse, or misapplication. Any replacement Software will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer. Outside the United States, neither these remedies nor any product support services offered by StageTools LLC are available without proof of purchase from an authorized non-US. source.
NO OTHER WARRANTIES: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STAGETOOLS LLC DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE AND ACCOMPANYING WRITTEN MATERIALS. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.
NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STAGETOOLS LLC OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF INABILITY TO USE THIS STAGETOOLS LLC PRODUCT, EVEN IF STAGETOOLS LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. BECAUSE SOME STATES/JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
